Job Description:
We are currently seeking an Interactive Art Director in our Enfield office with 3-5 years experience in art direction to handle a fast growing list of engaging interactive work.
This position will be responsible for maintaining the visual aesthetics and usable functionality of our online shop plus a growing list of other exciting projects. We will also require you to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work successfully within a highly collaborative and cross-functional team that spans across UK and Denmark.
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for developing initial design direction on projects and overseeing/mentoring designers. We are looking for people with outstanding creative design skills and experience to work on one of the most popular kids’ site in the world.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, develop and maintain compelling online experiences which are fun, attractive and functional
- Work with Creative Director to determine LEGO.com’s look and feel
- Manage web designers
- Direct creative, but at the same time work hands-on
- Keep abreast of best practices online & offline and maintain knowledge of competitive sites
- Work closely with our Identity Art Director (Denmark) to provide the best interactive and graphic solutions
Requirements:- Excellent typographical and design skills
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Interactive/Multimedia Design
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to inspire and coach a small team of designers
- Strong ability to generate, conceptualize and execute design ideas
- Solid understanding of development
- Firm understanding of motion design
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications and other industry tools
- Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML/CSS programming skills are expected
- Expert knowledge of HTML/dHMTL and the capabilities of web browsers
