Manager – Brand Governance

Do you want responsibility for the daily brand governance of one of the strongest toy brands in the world? Then become Manager, Brand Governance in the LEGO Group in Billund, Denmark and join us in building up a new organisational unit – Brand & Marketing Management (BMM). Our goal is to drive a more ambitious brand and marketing strategy across the entire LEGO Group as well as build a culture and capabilities that support marketing innovation.
You will join Brand Development, a part of BMM, with focus areas on Group level to govern the development and implementation of the LEGO brand strategy and manage the brand expression.
Increase the strength of the LEGO brand
Overall, you will be the LEGO Group’s expert in terms of guidelines for the LEGO brand. You will be responsible for driving and monitoring the implementation of the brand strategy – and preparing the next phases. Specifically, you will develop and implement a plan to ensure greater consistency in the use of the LEGO brand across the Group. Here, an essential responsibility will be to liaise between key departments in terms of creative development, internal communication and brand culture.
Additionally, you will be the person that the organisation turns to in order to resolve brand expression issues in areas such as licensing, co-promotion, LEGOLAND parks and PR community. In essence, your role will be that of central hub of brand knowledge, providing guidelines for what the brand should be associated with – in accordance with guidelines set out by the Brand and Innovation Board – and handling questions regarding brand expression as they arise. All in all, this is a unique position where you will be part of building up brand governance for the LEGO brand globally – and where your goal will be to increase the strength of the LEGO brand.
Strong brand management skills
You have an MSc in Marketing or similar combined with at least three years of experience with brand management in a professional brand environment working with B2C. Perhaps you have experience working with brand guidelines, corporate visual identity or similar in an international environment. And you have a passion for brand governance and brand building.
It is essential that you are able to stand your ground in order to secure consistency between brand guidelines and brand expression. And you are able to work independently, create relations and gain respect both in corporate and local market functions. Finally, you master English, both in speech and writing.
