Marketing Consultant

Help set up the global marketing agenda for the LEGO Group

Join us in building up a new organisational unit – Brand & Marketing Management – aimed at driving a more ambitious brand and marketing strategy across Markets & Products (M&P) and the entire LEGO Group as well as building a culture and capabilities that support marketing innovation. As Marketing Consultant, you will become a part of the Marketing Management department in Billund, Denmark.

Our purpose in Marketing Management is to lead global marketing planning processes and marketing improvement projects on a strategic level to advance marketing in areas such as innovation or return on investment. Your role will be to support the development of holistic marketing strategy and drive a marketing improvement agenda.

Tactical planning in a complex organisation with an ambitious strategy
Overall, you will successfully develop and implement a number of marketing improvement projects that support the implementation of a global marketing strategy across the Group. One of your main objectives will be to develop and manage a marketing steering unit – i.e. a “Brand Marketing Cockpit”. This will involve defining a structured and consistent approach to setting marketing KPIs and goals. Additionally, you will optimise the marketing planning process throughout the organisation and act as marketing planning ambassador in the Group’s “7 core processes” forum.

You will examine marketing planning processes in local sales offices or business units and establish and ensure best practice across the Group – in accordance with the strategy set out by the M&P leadership team. Look forward to working in a complex division with an ambitious objective that enjoys management attention and where your talents for navigating uncertain waters will come into play.

Marketing and analytical talent with an entrepreneurial spirit
You have several years of marketing experience as Trade Marketing Manager, Category Manager or similar – or as a consultant – which has given you the skills to work in a marketing setup without a fixed agenda. Your educational background could be an MSc in marketing or other relevant education. Furthermore, you have shown significant results in a large organisation with an international scope – e.g. from a FMCG company.

As a person you are a strong project manager gifted with an analytical and structured work approach. You are a people person and have the ability to move people through your personal impact and enthusiasm. And you thrive in a complex organisation where we are making the rules up as we go. Fluency in English – spoken and written – is a must, and you are able to travel 10-20 days per year.
