The Digital Games team is located in Billund and Enfield - and you will be based in Billund. We support the overall digitalisation agenda across all LEGO brands. Our mission is to invent and produce all games in the LEGO Group, and our ambition is to develop new and unseen features and gaming experiences - worldwide, world class!
You set direction for world class gaming experiences
As Creative Director you take the lead in business critical projects where you unfold every bit of your undisputed creative talent. You demonstrate how to turn insights on markets, consumers, etc. into revolutionary ideas and gaming concepts. You set the portfolio strategy and carefully monitor that it is executed in the right quality from a creative point of view. In all you do, you make sure that the LEGO DNA is maintained every step of the way - from idea to ready-made product and across all platforms and markets. To succeed, you set, head and develop the right team of creative colleagues with the perfect composition of skills, experience and inventiveness. You will be in close dialogue with external game developers, LEGO product groups and Future Lab when defining strategies for tomorrow's game products. As such, you will assume a role of utmost strategic significance where you shape the digital strategy and use your influence and expertise to create magnificent results in a complex organisation.
Undisputed creative talent with a keen eye on the structured processes
You have been working within the computer games industry long enough to acquire in-depth knowledge of what works and what doesn't. During the recent 5-10 years you have either worked as Game Director on a games production, or you have been managing creative teams at senior level. You know how to set and follow the strategy for a rapidly developing product line - even when the pace is high, and you have quite a few projects to dive into. This means that you are able to go into detail with a subject for a while without losing your supreme overview of the entire process. The job will require equal portions of creativity and structure as you will have the overall and strategic responsibility for achieving the set objectives.
As you will captain a team of extremely creative and imaginative colleagues, you will need to stand firm on your decisions although you fully understand how to secure buy-in from your employees.
